Initiatives and Referendums - Check your local ballot to see if there are any initiatives or referendums to learn about.  A referendum is a piece of legislation to be approved or rejected based on popular vote.  An initiative is a citizen-drafted proposed law that is placed on a ballot.

 

How to learn more - Once you find your local ballot, go to a candidate's websites to find out where they stand on issues.  Email candidates or reach out on social media if you have questions.
